On 27 December 2016 the EU Member States should have transposed Directive 2014/104/EU on damages actions for breaches of competition law into national law. The directive (and the soft-law instruments accompanying it) does not only mark a new phase for competition law enforcement but also, more generally, a fresh instance of EU harmo-nization of aspects of private law and civil litigation.
Following up a 2014 conference on the then recently adopted private enforcement package, this conference gathers practitioners and scholars from all over Europe to discuss first experiences of the implementation of the new damages regime.
Our Partner Elisabeth Eklund is speaking on the topic "National Conditions of Culpability – allowed under the Directive and/or the TFEU?".
