Sustainability

A never-ending challenge.

Being a sustainable partner and workplace is a large and important part of our business plan and for us at Delphi it is about an approach that permeates our entire business.

Thinking sustainably means that everything we do is characterised by competence, thoughtfulness and responsibility for our clients, our employees and the world around us. As a result, our approach is to constantly think proactively and develop our work so that our use of resources is as efficient as possible, whether that is minimising our environmental impact or striving to be the most attractive place to work. Our vision is to take responsibility for our employees, our fellow human beings and the environment in order to make our contribution to creating a better society and a better environment. This endeavor is part of our daily work and is constantly ongoing.

Naturally a high priority
We strive to deliver sustainable legal advice and consultation to our clients. Through our activities, we aim to increase equality and diversity in society, to support the vulnerable and those in need through our expertise and commitment, and to minimise our negative impact on our planet, climate and environment. Our people are our most important asset, enabling us to deliver high quality advice to our clients. That is why we are committed to ensuring that they have the very best conditions to create a good work-life balance.

The Global Goals and our commitment
We take into account Agenda 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals in our operations and in all aspects of our strategic sustainability work. We analyse our internal strengths and weaknesses in environmental, social and economic sustainability. We also analyse our external opportunities to maximise the positive impact of our sustainability work and the external threats that could harm our work. Based on these analyses and the demands and expectations of our stakeholders, we have identified six goals to which we have a particularly strong connection and the greatest opportunity to make a difference.

Sustainability report
Our sustainability report is intended to compile our sustainability efforts into a single document. The purpose is to make it easy for our current and prospective clients, existing and future employees, partners, and other stakeholders to find and review our sustainability work.

Starting in 2024, we have chosen to begin aligning our reporting structure with the standardized framework set out in the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). As a result, our sustainability report is based on the three pillars of ESG – Environmental, Social, and Governance.

Environment.

Our climate and environmental work is about minimising our negative impact on the world around us and on our planet. This is characterised by a continuous drive to find new methods and approaches to manage our resources as respectfully and responsibly as possible. For us, this means doing several things at once - raising awareness and providing education, reducing emissions, helping to increase carbon sequestration, protecting biodiversity, and working to preserve healthy ecosystems. Being a sustainable partner and employer is a significant and integral part of our business plan and is an approach that permeates our entire organisation.

Social
responsibility.

Our work within social sustainability consists of the work we do within the firm to be a good employer to our staff, as well as our community engagement activities that target people outside our own organisation.

Corporate
responsibility.

It is important to us that everyone we do business with, or otherwise come into contact with, feels that we act ethically and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Similarly, we expect the same ethical approach and lawful conduct from the companies, organisations, and individuals with whom we do business and collaborate. Regardless of whoever we do business with and where this takes place, we are committed to doing so legally, ethically and with integrity.

Delphi stays up to date with developments and intends to report with a high level of ambition and in a manner we believe best serves our stakeholders.
