Nordic Water Products AB provides technology and systems for the purification of drinking water and waste water in water-treatment plants and the process industry. Alder invests in unlisted companies in the environmental technology sector and this is the fund’s third investment.
The investment means that Alder owns 40 percent of the company.
Nordic Water Products AB turns over approximately SEK 500 million per year with an operating profit of SEK 60 million. The group has subsidiaries in Sweden, including the leading water purification company, Nordic Water Products AB as well as in China, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. In total the company has just over 130 employees. The products are sold in 80 companies through distributors and group companies.
Alder invests in companies which have the potential to grow and which already have an existing operation turning over between SEK 30-500 million. Alder manages SEK 1.1 billion from the 7 AP fund, Folksam and the Swedish church pension fund amongst others.
