Delphi has advised The Carlyle Group in connection with the acquisition of Broadcast Text International

Delphi has advised The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) as legal counsel in connection with the acquisition of Broadcast Text International (“BTI”) , a provider of translation, subtitling and dubbing services for broadcasters from Valedo Partners. The transaction was announced on 9 September 2013. Capital for this investment will come from Carlyle Europe Technology Partners II L.P., a Pan-European small buyout fund focused on companies that are driven by technology and with a strong track record of investing in media and creative services. Further terms of the investment were not disclosed.

BTI is one of Europe’s leading providers of subtitling, dubbing and access services throughout Europe. BTI operates 15 offices in eleven countries across Europe, serving a dozen international broadcasters and more than 50 local broadcasters, VOD/OTT providers, production companies and video distributors with dubbing, subtitling and access services in more than 30 languages.

Delphi’s team was led by partner David Aversten, mainly assisted by Mats Dahlberg, Erika Rosenberg and Rickard Isacson. In addition, a large number of lawyers from the Stockholm office have been involved in the transaction.

Delphi coordinated the legal work in all jurisdictions, with the aid of local legal counsel.
