Delphi advises Apetit on its acquisition of Foodhills

Delphi has acted as Swedish legal counsel to Apetit Plc in its acquisition of 100 per cent of the shares in Foodhills AB, Sweden’s largest cultivator and producer of frozen peas.

Foodhills AB, based in the Skåne region with a production plant in Bjuv, reported net sales of SEK 167.8 million in 2024. The company works with approximately 300 contract farmers across the Skåne and Halland regions.

The acquisition strengthens Apetit’s position in the Swedish market and aligns with the company’s strategic focus on expanding its frozen pea production capacity. Following completion of the transaction, Apetit is expected to produce over 10 per cent of frozen peas in Europe.

Apetit Plc is a Finnish food company listed on Nasdaq Helsinki, specialising in frozen vegetables and vegetable-based foods.

Delphi’s team consisted of Michael Juhlin, Glenn Nyström, Helene Andersson, Sofie Bååth, Petri Dahlström, Karl Hammarlund, Ellioth Lodenius, Ida Nordmark, Fredrik Nykvist, Klara Thyrén and Agnes Wall.
